In this paper, we propose a snake algorithm for tracking contours of object in stereo sequences with cluttered background. Our newly designed algorithm is developed by using disparity information taken from stereo image sequence. The proposed algorithm can successfully extract the concave contour of an object and track the contour in a complex image. Performance of the proposed algorithm has been verified by simulation.
