Mobile clients often need to access information related to their current location. Location-dependent services have been available for some time, but discovering such services in a particular area can be difficult. This paper proposes a system that provides service discovery and dynamic adaptation, including fault tolerance, for mobile clients. The system uses distributed lookup services and performs distributed notification of service registration. Experiments have proven that the solution utilises network bandwidth efficiently.
