The paper examines the current state of multimodal technologies and shares the development experience of a multimodal ubiquitous system integrating technologies from multiple channels. The existing industry practice in the area has also been discussed. The proposed system has been developed through the integration of an automated knowledge management system with conventional enterprise resources planning systems. The solution architecture of the systems has been provided followed with implementation details. To illustrate the development feasibility and application values of our approach, we supply a preliminary application example on intelligent e-enrollment services to demonstrate the application potentials of our work.
