With explosive developments of Satellite Internet, more researches focus on satellite TCP protocols. In this paper, effects of satellite links on TCP protocols are analyze and technologies to improve TCP performances are introduced. A new comprehensive computational methods to analyze performances of TCP protocols in satellite networks are given, with considering the entire procedure of TCP protocols including behaviors of Initial States and Steady States. By theoretical analysis, performance of throughput is achieved. Compared with results in simulations, accuracy of the computaional method is verified. Based on the method, throughputs of TCP Reno and TCP NewReno in long propagation delay satellite links are achieved, which shows adaptability of different TCP protocols in satellite networks.
