This paper deals with the problem of observer-based fault detection for a class of networked control systems (NCSs) with random time-delays. The residual generation is formulated as an H \infty optimization problem and it can be solved in terms of discrete-time Riccati equation. The problem of residual evaluation has also been handled, which concerns of the determination of residual evaluation function and threshold, and the computation of false alarm rate. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Index Terms:
