In mobile ad hoc networks, routing schemes using location information have been proposed recently. The location information is able to be provided by location sensors, GPS devices, and so forth. In a typical on-demand routing scheme LAR (Location-Aided Routing) with location information has possibility to increase the number of control packets, because LAR uses flooding for route generation and route maintenance. Therefore, we present a new routing scheme GOLI (Greedy On-demand routing using Location Information) which can reduce the number of control packets and assure data packets to deliver to the destination node. Then, we show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme by simulation experiments.
