The purpose of this study is to consider how to use an electronic learning (e-learning) system in engineering design. The first e-learning trial in an engineering design course was introduced as a collaborative communication tool at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology. In this paper, student activities in which students can use the e-learning system are described for each engineering design process.
