The sampling theorem also known as Shannon theorem is the basis for digital signal processing and computer based algorithms. A great number of publications are devoted to sampling and reconstruction of signals. Spectral properties of the underlying continuous signals and different kinds of applications require a specific approach in designing an optimal sampling grid. For doing this, in the domain of multidimensional signal processing of the projection signal of a tomography with respect to the bandwidth is analyzed and an optimal sampling grid for projection data is presented.
