This year the Decision Technologies Track has adopted a sharper focus by targeting the emerging area of service sciences, management and engineering (SSME) as its primary application domain. SSME is a new interdisciplinary research area that synthesizes work from the reference disciplines of computer science, information sciences, operations research, industrial engineering, business strategy, management science, and social / cognitive sciences, to develop business applications that meet the challenges raised by a services-led (as opposed to a manufacturing-led) economy. Three thematic streams have been identified and implemented in the following Minitracks:
