The scope and diversity of electronic service developments by government agencies continues to grow. This growth has been a result of internal efficiency and reform movements within governments along with growing demand from the public for the benefits of new service modes and information access. As a result, the scope and diversity of research issues expands as well. This minitrack sought papers that reflected this diversity in topics and evidence of attention to the expanding scope of E-service capabilities

The three papers included in this minitrack do, in fact, reflect this growing scope in both geographic spread and research questions examined. Two of the papers examined the uptake of use of E-services in two different contexts, the US and Taiwan. The third paper proposed an expanded approach to the assessment of website effectiveness and service quality.
