Software process models are essential for software companies, because they embody their core competences in applying software development processes. In this paper experiences made at the development and enactment of a process model for T-Systems, one of Germany?s largest software companies, are depicted. Starting from the basic objectives the Software Engineering Book (SE Book) is introduced and the measures to achieve the given objectives are presented. The process model was prototypically implemented by 29 pilot projects. The results of this pilot phase are summarized subsequently and an overview over activities that accompany the roll out of the SE Book is given.
