One of the main problems dealing with trace based analysis of parallel systems is the management of the vast amounts of data produced by monitors. This paper describes the experiences made with a database approach for the management of trace data. The system is configurable in terms of trace formats and of metrics defined on this trace format. Performance measurements of the system conclude the paper.
