In November 2005, twenty-two high school student teams of different sizes logged on to the website of the newly established School of Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (?CUHK?) to begin playing the interactive online game The Gold Rush: Mining the Law. In this article we describe some of the IT challenges that we faced, and we provide some tentative answers to the question: which is best ? producing an educational online game or an educational game on CD-Rom/DVD?
