Digital games are engaging and capturing the attention of many people around the world. Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) are quickly gaining popularity. Although most of the MMOGs on the market are designed for entertainment, more and more researchers are exploring the possibilities to apply MMOG technology in learning. These researchers based on learning theories, such as experiential learning, constructivist learning, collaborative learning, flow theory, and so on for the digital game design. A well-designed MMOG learning environment can stimulate students? learning attitudes and increase students? interest and engagement. In this paper, the authors discuss that how to use MMOG technology to facilitate learners to enhance their foreign language listening ability. The system architecture is presented to demonstrate the idea of using the MMOG technology to enhance the learners? listening capability of foreign language learning.
