In the quadratic Gaussian Chief Executive Officer (CEO) problem, L sensors observe independent noisy versions of the source signal X. If we represent the lengthn source vector by X and the observation of the ith sensor node by Y_i, then Y_i = x + v_i where X \sim N (0,\sigma _X^2 I) and v_i \sim N (0, N_i). Observations are conditionally independent given the source.
