In this paper, we present an approach to building an adaptive website based on user access patterns. Our purpose is to build an adaptive website by automatically changing the site structure and make users find the information they desire within a minimum amount of time. Preprocessing, user access patterns and site reorganization are main three steps in this study. This research has been evaluated on a large website. Experiments show that the approach is feasible and effective for building an adaptive website based on user access patterns.
