Xiangzhong Feng, Zhejiang Ocean University
To resolve cooperation of multi-field, data integration and sharing of multidisciplinary model, a method to build collaborative design environment is proposed by combining multi-agent technology, ontology and OWL. Multi-agent technology being used for collaborative design makes collaborative design system possess the advantages of multi-agent system, such as distribution, cooperation, intelligence; OWL being used for collaborative design makes collaborative design system implement communication between agents and between multi-agent systems, and enhances problem of their semantic interoperation. This paper constructs Collaborative Design Environment based on Multi-Agent (CDEMA) and it can support cooperative work for distributed designers from multiple disciplines. CDEMA uses the semantic web languages (OWL) to specify the underlying domain ontologies, as a content language within the FIPA ACL messages.
