As people have interests in their health recently, development of medical domain application has been one of the most active research areas. One example of medical domain application is detection system for heart disease based on electrocardiogram (ECG) which records the electrical activity of the heart over time as wave form. However, detecting heart disease by using only ECG has some disadvantages, so detecting heart disease by using other resources is better way. In order to support detection system which uses several resources, knowledge of each resource domain should be defined. This research constructs knowledge base of ECG and heart disease using semantic web technology, proposes inference engine for heart disease detection, and implements prototype of this system.
