The majority of transport protocol used now in Web Services is TCP. However, SCTP has been emerging as a promising transport protocol for many Web Services such as Data Grid may have a characteristic that it usually requires to transfer the abundant data among many nodes in the world. SCTP can support multihoming physical connections with end-points. Future network of SCTP/IP layered architecture can be expected to improve the transmission performance as well as the reliability. This paper suggested the extended requirements and interface of Web Service Descriptions to provide the multi-homing accesses to the clients. And we showed the emulation results with various environmental factors. The emulation results show the reduced overall transmission time and improved robustness of failures.
