Businesses become globally distributed and speed to market is a critical success for new products. However, global cooperative development in legacy system reengineering is formidable because of the communication and coordination issues. Other than providing single common views to the roles, layered requirement views are suggested to be organized in three dimensions. In addition, configurable subscription and automatic notification are suggested to push the status message of the tasks to the roles on event. Layered requirement views not only make the requirement management process visible, but can also facilitate the requirement communications among different roles, reduce the possible requirement confusing where there comes requirement change or additional new requirement during the evolution of requirement.
