A fast H_\infty filter (FHF) has been derived for identifying time-varying systems, which is capable of determining the forgetting factor that is optimal in the sense of H_\infty optimization. In this work, the performances of the FHF is evaluated in echo cancellation using a hand-made acoustic system.
