Computer Graphics International 1997 (CGI'97) A User-Friendly Texture-Fitting Methodology for Virtual Humans Hasselt and Diepenbeek, Belgium June 23-June 27 ISBN: 0-8186-7825-9
This paper describes a methodology for applying textures interactively to a 3D object, taking into account its topological features. A user-friendly interface based on this allows the user to evaluate the consequences on the 3D object of manipulating the 2D texture in real time. As a case study, we have applied this methodology to re-create the terra-cotta texture of virtual soldiers from Xian.
