Abstract: After a study is concluded, it is often desirable to contact the participants again for a follow up. Rarely are these follow ups planned or funded at the time of the original study. Especially in the new climate of medical care, it can be difficult to contact many study participants. We discuss some of the difficulties of tracing former study subjects and list websites which we have found useful.
