Electroporation is a technique, which use micro tomilliseconds electric pulses in medicine. This pulsetechnique is based on the temporary increase of themembrane permeability due to reversible electricalbreakdown of the plasma membrane upon applicationof external high-intensity field pulses of very shortduration. Membrane charging and permeabilizationcaused by strong electric field generated by highvoltagepulses are preceded and accompanied bytransient electrode formation forces, which lead to anelongation of the cells in low-conductivity media, thusaffecting the membrane area of electropermeabilizationin response to a breakdown pulse. This paper describes a design and development ofan electroporation system with a micro-bio-chipapplicator. We have conducted electroporationexperiments in vitro using a developed system andhave found permeabilization in cell mem
