As a key component of J2EE application servers, distributed transaction manager following JTS and JTA specifications plays an important role in distributed transaction environment. This paper explores the conformance test of distributed transaction service by broadening the application of protocol conformance test theory and techniques. This paper also presents the formal representation of distributed transaction service and the corresponding test case generation not based on personal experience.
