Mobile ad hoc wireless network is a special network without any infrastructure. The routing path could be broken easily because every host in such network is able to move freely. If the routing path is broken, the source host must reconstruct another new route. This will increase higher network overhead and latency and cause a decrease in the data throughput. In this paper, AODV and DSR schemes are employed to design a simple Loop-Free Multi-Path Routing (LFMPR) with QoS (Quality of Service) protocol. In the route request phase, intermediate nodes record multi-reverse links which is applied to construct multiple-paths during the route reply phase. Each path is assigned a unique flow identification (flow id) in order to prevent routing loop problems. The source host can choose a best path to achieve the QoS. Further, the LFMPR could help a node chooses another backup path to send data without performing route discovery when the routing path breaks which could increase network performance. The NS-2 is used to simulate the performance of the metrics.
