Fifth International Conference on Application of Concurrency to System Design (ACSD'05)
St. Malo, France
June 07-June 09
ISBN: 0-7695-2363-3
Werner Damm, OFFIS
This paper elaborates on the application of some aspects of robust systems control theory to the management of uncertainty and risk in distributed and complex design processes, having concurrent and dynamic sub-processes. The focus is in the context of the systems integration industries, such as automotive and aerospace. A key enabling technology to the management of such "speculative" design process is a uniform representation of all design entities using "rich components."
