Adaptive Square Triangulations as Multiresolution Model in Volume Visualization
Talca, Chile
November 11-November 13
ISBN: 0-7695-0296-2
José Maria R. Neves, Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto
This work presents a structure type, called adaptive rectangular triangulation, as a multiresolution infrastructure for representation of volumetric irregular data, in the context of scientific visualization of scalar data. The structure is shown to offer good support to systems aimed at the interactive exploration of the data. An economic data structure is defined which allows efficient implementation of visualization algorithms based on the hierarchical organization of the structure.
