In this paper, we present a new approach based on ontologies an knowledge representation to describe a service behavior in distributed systems. In an earlier context, we have used ontologies in order to describe, index and store the properties of a service. This approach provides an intelligent mediator or trader to clients so that they can discover a service in an elaborate manner by querying its static properties (like its location, its provider name, ect) by using a logic language. In this paper, we propose an extension of these tools to address the dynamic properties of a service, i.e., its behavior. This allows a client to discover a service by querying its dynamic and static characteristics.
