Abstract: The mobile IP data communication is widely spreading. Accordingly, it is pointed out that the number of IP addresses in IPv4 will be short if every mobile terminal has its IP address. In order to solve this address starvation problem, we propose an approach to realize mobile IP protocol by assigning a private IP address to a mobile terminal. It installs foreign agent and home agent with NAT function, and it coordinates DNS procedure and NAT function in order to allow a correspondent node to make a connection to a mobile terminal. This paper describes the detailed design of our approach.
