This paper presents application of fusion techniques in a handwritten numeral recognition. The authors present two methods of fusing classifiers based on the fuzzy integral for handwritten numeral recognition. We also demonstrate that modification of fuzzy density calculation will result in better recognition rate. Test conducted on a large set of handwritten numeral data yielded high recognition rate with the proposed technique.
