Third IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT'03)
Athens, Greece
July 09-July 11
ISBN: 0-7695-1967-9
Peter Soreanu, ORT Braude Engineering College
Emil Saucan, Technion-Israel Technological Institute
The paper presents a new program tool intended to increase the feedback received from students during interactive synchronous sessions. It works in a semicontinuous, non-obtrusive way, giving information about predefined parameters. The results are monitored online by the instructor and the data is logged for further evaluation. Instructors using the program have reported a significant change of their perceived level of interaction with the students. The better feedback allows them more adaptability to the student needs, without interrupting the flow of the session. The program is independent of the conferencing environment and runs in parallel with it.
