Wireless applications provide new opportunities for business organizations, enabling access to relevant information from anywhere and at anytime. In order to benefit from the features of ubiquitous environment core information systems like ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems have to support the mobile behavior of their users. This paper introduces a comprehensive framework for mobile ERP applications and presents a multi-tier architecture for them. It focuses on methods for efficient access to information stored in a database from a mobile device, device context-aware data presentation and invocation of ERP business functions.
