In this paper we give an overview of a new digital video sequence processing framework. We will discuss how a combination of several image processing and computer vision components can be used to obtain a (semi) automatic delineation and following or tracking of moving objects which are present in digital ideo image sequences. We will illustrate the current research results with image segmentation and video tracking results, and briefly discuss the major application areas.
