In this paper, we outline an interaction model for spatial databases, based on the exploitation of the topological invariant, a topological annotation of the spatial database. In particular, we consider zooming primitives suitable for browsing in massive sets of spatial data visualized in a fish-eye view fashion, and present their implementation in terms of manipulations of the topological invariant.
