We have investigated interaction strategies to promote cooperation in groups of self-interested agents [1, 2]. In this paper, we propose a help-giving decision mechanism for agents in scenarios where agents have limited resources. We show that the new decision mechanism prevents strategic exploitation by selfish agents and outperforms them.
