Functional MRI (fMRI) has become a major tool in understanding brain function. Functional maps are superimposed on higher definition anatomical images. However these maps are only visualized in 2D or 3D. The temporal information, provided by the fMRI acquisition, is usually ignored. The main purpose of this article is to present a software designed to provide animation of activation maps. This approach will help researchers to follow temporal dynamics of the neuronal network involved in brain activation at different time scales, allowing them to identify the priority of the activation of cerebral structures.
