Thank you for your interest in having the IEEE Computer Society be a technical co-sponsor (TCS) for your conference.
Technical Co-Sponsorship (TCS) may be requested by completing the required data fields and submitting a "Request for Technical Co-sponsorship" application, available through the link below.
The application will be reviewed by the IEEE Computer Society's Technical & Conference Activities Board.
Please Note: The sponsorship decision-making process can take six or more weeks.
Technical Co-Sponsorship Status means:
◊ The IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS) is lending its name to the meeting, though will
have no financial or legal responsibility for the meeting.
◊ IEEE members will pay the member registration rate.
◊ The IEEE-CS will establish a link from our Conference Calendar Web site to your conference's
home page.
◊ You may use both the IEEE and IEEE-CS logos
(you may NOT use IEEE in the name of the conference).
How to complete the Technical Co-Sponsorship application:
Review the IEEE-CS Conference Calendar Web site to determine what other IEEE-CS sponsored conferences are scheduled to be held during the dates that you are considering. The scheduling of your conference should not be in competition with other CS-sponsored conferences in the same topic/field area. The Web site is located at http://computer.org/conferences/calendar.htm
An IEEE-CS Technical Committee or Technical Council (TC) Chair must provide a "Statement of Benefits"
to justify endorsement of the TCS application and technical co-sponsorship.
A list of the IEEE-CS TCs/chairs is located at http://www.computer.org/portal/web/tandc/tclist
Please Note: The TC will not receive financial benefits or added entitlement from a conference that is granted technical co-sponsorship. The TC chair must email his/her completed "Statement of Benefits" directly to tcsrequest@computer.org
Please Note: To preserve the IEEE Computer Society's 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt status, IEEE Technical Committees are unable to Technically Co-Sponsor conferences which have a majority financial sponsor that is a For-Profit Entity. For profit and other organizations can, however, provide donations as indicated in IEEE Policies Section 10.1.23. IEEE Policies Section 10 can be found on the IEEE web site at http://www.ieee.org/web/aboutus/whatis/policies/p10-1.1.html.
If you wish to pay the TCS processing fee by credit card, please contact Jeannie A. Smith at jasmith@computer.org Please make sure to include the acronym and year of the conference in the subject line of your message to Jeannie.
ANNOUNCEMENT: The IEEE Conferences Committee passed a motion to charge a $500 USD non-publishing fee when a conference that receives IEEE technical cosponsorship does not contribute a proceedings to the IEEE Xplore digital library. This new policy applies to all IEEE societies. Conferences that are requesting technical cosponsorship through the IEEE Computer Society and will not be publishing through CPS or posting their proceedings into the IEEE Xplore digital library will be expected to pay this fee in advance. The exact wording of this new IEEE policy hasn't yet been released. We will update this announcement once we received the written policy statement. |
Submit the completed TCS application to tcsrequest@computer.org Before submitting you must:
◊ Complete the payment of $350 USD (non-refundable processing fee)
◊ Confirm the TC Chair has e-mailed the "Statement of Benefits" to tcsrequest@computer.org
Please Note: We ask that you send all the required documentation, processing fees and "Statement of Benefits" at least 90 days prior to your conference start date. If necessary, please send reminders to the TC chair if he/she doesn't respond to your requests in a timely manner.
