In addition, our meeting planners are constantly keeping tabs on financial trends that may potentially impact conferences, and paying attention to the latest meeting industry practices. A Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Lynne joined the IEEE Computer Society in 1995 as the Administrative Services Manager in the Washington, DC, office, where she provided support for the Board of Governors and awards and Fellows activities. In 2008, she transferred to the Los Alamitos office to manage conference services. Lynne encourages and guides conference support staff to provide a high level of service and meeting management support for the organization's large conference portfolio. Her ultimate goal is to provide "one-stop shopping" for conference organizers to enable a smoother sponsorship approval process. In a previous life, Lynne served as an air traffic controller in the US Air Force and worked as the Laboratory Manager for a military medical research grant. She can be reached by phone at +714.816.2120.

Carmen comes to the IEEE Computer Society with more than eight years of corporate meeting and conference planning experience with Pacific Life Insurance Co. Her meeting industry knowledge spans educational symposiums, incentive programs, trade shows, Board of Director retreats, corporate events, employee recognition programs, and managing and facilitating professional domestic and international conferences of all sizes. An active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 2003, Carmen earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification in 2009. She joined the IEEE Computer Society in March 2008 as the Senior Meeting Planner overseeing the society's largest citywide conference and managing a large conference portfolio, and was promoted to supervisor in late 2011. Carmen ensures conferences' IEEE compliance, and oversees financial conferences and conference projects/initiatives, as well as three staff. Paula Anderson is a seasoned technology professional, with over 20 years of experience in corporate event management and marketing communications. Prior to joining IEEE Computer Society, Anderson worked for ChartLogic Inc., FileNET Corp. (a company acquired by IBM), Event411, and Novell Inc. as well as creating her own consulting company. Anderson's event management experience includes the design and management of technology conferences, product launches, tradeshows, incentive programs, executive meetings, International Sales Meetings and a Corporate Briefing Center. Hazel Harrison joined IEEE Computer Society in 1998 as a receptionist/office assistant for Human Resources, and the following year began working as a magazine assistant, handling peer review and the planning of editorial board meetings all over the world. In 2009, Hazel moved to Conference Services as a Conference Assistant, bringing with her valuable knowledge of IEEE Computer Society procedures, and in 2011 she was promoted to Meeting Planner. Ted brings diverse experience from over 23 years of management, marketing, sales, customer care, engineering, and business development in the telecom, Internet, and wireless industries. Most recently, Ted created/launched/managed the Internet and private network data services at TelePacific Communications, and prior to that at Aiirmesh Communications directed customer service, extended corporate communications, performed field operations and grew partnerships with wireless vendors and metropolitan municipalities. Ted managed regional sales and engineering teams for Velocita Corp., Level 3 Communications, and E.Spire Communications during their early startup years.  Ted also developed the marketing plans, public relations, and product development for the Internet division of MFS Communications (Worldcom) during the early 1990s. Ted holds an MBA in Marketing from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University and a BS degree in Computer Science/Mathematics from Santa Clara University. He can be reached by phone at +714.816.2116.
