According to the police report, Ashley McDowell told deputies that two men in a McDonald's parking lot, one with a gold tooth, approached her and asked her to purchase an iPad (www.thesmokinggun.com/file/wooden-ipad?page=0). They said they had acquired iPads in bulk and were selling them for $300 each. McDowell, having only $180, negotiated her way to a brand-new iPad for a cut-rate price.
