Weekly update

This will most likely be the last weekly update in this forum--as you've probably heard by now, we have a new wiki that just went live, and most (if not all) of our communication will take place in that zone now. Works for me--I have no idea how many of you actually read this! See you in the new place!

Important deadlines for 2008 and 2009

If you click on the "Department Deadlines" link below, you get a good picture of when department stuff is do. If you're a guest editor, I've already warned you about upcoming deadlines, so I think we're in good shape with all the special issues for '08. We've instituted a new guideline: all theme content must fit within 23,000 words total, with figures and tables counting as 250 words each. If you're a guest editor or plan on becoming one, keep this limit in mind because it will be enforced!

Book review status

Are you interested in writing a book review? Do you know someone who is? Our department editor for book reviews, Mario Belloni, has posted book information in two links, one with books available to review and the other describing the current status of book reviews.
