Project Failures in Small Companies
November/December 2003 (vol. 20 no. 6)
pp. 94-95

In February 1998, at the peak of the IT boom when almost every company was fixing Y2K bugs, the author was hired as a programmer/analyst by a small IT company to develop functional specifications for two ongoing software development projects. Though ultimately painful, his experiences at this company gave him invaluable insight into the way projects can fail.
