The first article, "Discovery Systems Check Their Own Facts" reports on the development of a system called Adam that can make completely automated scientific discoveries. The second article, "Supercomputer to Answer Jeopardy Challenge" discusses an IBM machine called Watson designed to compete against human contestants in the Jeopardy game show.
