A. Richard Newton recently passed away with pancreatic cancer. Looking back on the past 25 years, Aart de Geus pays tribute to Richard Newton's life and contributions as a technological visionary, a beacon of optimism, and a close friend. Over the years, Richard Newton's focus matured from technology for its own sake to a something much greater: a love of technology for its positive impact on people's lives.
