The authors of the paper "DCT-Based Iris Recognition," which appeared in the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, vol. 29, no. 4, pp. 586-595, Apr. 2007 would like to point out that there was a transcription error in the definition of the DCT [ 1 , p. 587]. The value of $w(k)$ should be equal to $1/\sqrt{(2)}$ instead of $\sqrt{(2)}$ .
