Some-Codes of Rahman and Blake for Computer Applications
August 1978 (vol. 27 no. 8)
pp. 765-767
V.K. Bhargava, Department of Electrical Engineering, Concordia University
By ordering the elements of GF(pn) lexicographically, rather than sequentially, the recently constructed codes of Rahman and Blake become attractive for ultra high-speed computer applications. The codes are based on supplementary difference sets. The whole procedure is illustrated in detail for the (75,50) double error correcting code.
Index Terms:
threshold decoding, Electrically independent modules, error correction, Galois fields, logic circuits, supplementary difference sets
