The stated purpose of Branko Soucek's book Minicomputers in Data Processing and Simulation is to present the theory and application of digital simulation and measurement of data with emphasis on the use of minicomputers. The title is somewhat misleading, however, because the book is of interest to an even wider audience, including those interested in data acquisition, monitoring, industrial process and manufacturing control, and others. In particular, the section concerned with minicomputer hardware organization and interfacing collects information of great interest in a very readable fashion and fills a long existing void.
