January 1973 (vol. 22 no. 1)
pp. 112
L.D. Fosdick, Dep. Comput. Sci. Univ. Colorado
I look forward to using this interesting book as a reference in a graduate numerical analysis seminar. It is not a textbook, rather, it is like a small encyclopedia, containing a wealth of material on n-dimensional quadrature including theory, tables of formulas, and Fortran programs. Much of the material presented here is drawn from the work of Russian authors, as well as the work of Davis, Barnhill, Sard, and the author, Stroud. The material is relatively current with the very extensive list of references (376 of them!) running into the year 1970.
