Innovation is key to the success of companies in the semiconductor and IT industry. To successfully enable innovation, a company must create a culture that encourages innovation, and at the same time, deals with the inherent risks and issues associated with innovation. This talk will present how Xilinx creates such a culture.
Xilinx has a history of successful product innovation like the award-winning Virtex and Spartan series of FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays). Xilinx is also the pioneer of innovative business models like the "fabless" semiconductor model. Over the last few years, significant technical advances have made FPGAs ideal for many SoC (System On Chip) applications, and the mainstream solution of choice for digital system designers.
