Design and Implementation of Monitoring System in Offshore Oil Platform Based on Wireless Communication
December 19-December 20
ISBN: 978-0-7695-3490-9
At present, according to the request for production and management on the unmanned off-shore oil platform, the paper designs a remote monitoring system based on the wireless communication, and introduces the requirements of the system, the structure of hardware and software. The wireless communications and data acquisition system are mainly composed of DATA-LINC's wireless modem SRM6100 and Siemens programmable controller. And Visual Basic 6.0 is used for software programming. At last, a point-to-multipoint communication protocol is proposed to realize the communication between a central station and the sub-stations. In the protocol, the exclusive name of the target site is used to identify targets, and the error correction control is used for reducing the impact on the system caused by the unstable network. The practical result on the field indicates that the monitoring system has the well real-time character, dependability and lower error rate.
